It doesn't cover the charger unit's own molded plastic housing, which the manufacturer decorates at the factory as part of the injection-molding process, and it doesn't replace the digital screen built into some charger models. A site with a manufacturer-branded charger cabinet and separately ordered wayfinding and ID panels around it is the normal setup, not a gap between vendors.

Charging equipment sits outdoors year-round, often in a parking lot with no shade and no maintenance schedule beyond an occasional wipe-down. For flat or gently curved brand panels, ID plates, and signage — as opposed to the charger's own curved housing — a UV-printed rigid aluminum or composite panel has a real durability edge over an applied vinyl wrap: there's no laminate edge at the border that can lift, trap moisture, or start peeling after repeated cleaning cycles, because the ink is cured directly into the panel's coating rather than laminated on as a separate film. Wraps still make sense for the compound curves of a charger cabinet itself; they're a weaker choice for a flat sign that could just as easily be a printed panel with no seam to fail.
