Yes — UV flatbed printers jet ink directly onto acrylic and cure it instantly, with cast grades taking ink slightly better than extruded straight off the shelf. No lamination or transfer media is needed either way. The real decision isn't whether acrylic can be printed, it's which technique fits the job: standard face printing for most signage, or reverse printing on clear stock when the application calls for depth and a protected, glass-like finish.

For archival-grade panels, gallery prints, or anything with tight color-matching requirements, cast is worth the extra cost.

Extruded acrylic costs less, is more widely available, and prints perfectly well for the majority of commercial signage and display work.
